Write Your Name in Ancient Egyptian Hieroglyphs

14 Mar

flour-hieroglyphs Egyptian hieroglyphs ("sacred carving") was a formal writing system used by the ancient Egyptians about 5000 years ago.

Each hieroglyphic symbol has an associated sound, which can roughly be translated into a letter. The image on the right is how my last name, Farinha, looks when “written” using hieroglyphs.

You can use this tool to translate anything with a maximum of 16 characters into the same hieroglyphs that were used by Ancient Egyptians.

And while you’re at it, you might as well convert your name to “fake Cyrillic”.
