Apple Gets Patent on Life, Sues All Humanity

Apple patent on LifeI think we're safe on the being born and dying parts (although our parents can still be held accountable for our birth...), but I guess we have to stop doing stuff, or Apple will make us pay licensing fees or something.

This is part of my most recent rant against the Cupertino company for the 20 iPhone patents Apple's suing HTC over.

Very limited away of putting things...I guess you're just mad at Apple for doing what is their right. But anyways, continue using Vista or 7, because Microsoft never had sued not a single company for breaking their patent rights, I'm sure...

Well, I'm of the opinion that the way software patents work is not beneficial for anyone except the blood-sucking lawyer maggots. It slows down innovation and places all the power in the big corporations with swimming pools full of money to spend.
If you look closely there are no references to Microsoft or Windows in my post, and I'm not saying they don't do it. It's just the way that Apple has been operating the last few weeks is annoying me a lot. Their products are actually very appealing, but I can't accept their way of doing things.

And while we're at it, check this clip from 1996, featuring Steve Jobs on stealing ideas:

Money quote: "We have always been shameless about stealing great ideas."
      Ironic, no?

Nokia are also suing apple for the same kind of thing. It's how business and technology works. But I think Apple have been the most innovative and creative of all, and redefined what a phone is.

Every company has to keep their shareholders happy. So HTC have to copy Apple to compete. Their phones and the android OS look so similar to the iphone, its almost pathetic how unoriginal they are.

what steve jobs is trying to say in that youtube video is that he "stole" the ideas that belong to mankind and to its culture. not patent ideas which is a totally different thing...patents by the way, only last for 20 years, or more less like it, so what he's trying to say is that at apple they have been shameless at copying or "stealing" the methods of putting culture and innovation in every single product they make...
